Here’s an interesting story from WFLA in Florida on the potential impact of Hurricane Irma on the next wildfire season in the Southeast. As you know, Irma downed many trees and dropped leaves across the region as it passed last fall.  Now these stressed and dying trees and excess storm debris on the ground could contribute to a heavy fuel load on the ground for next season.
