Once we started picking cotton it seems like it went fast. We’ve gotten most of it if not all of it now in Wilcox County. According to the USDA Macon Classing Office Georgia has ginned 2.1 million bales (211,000 last week.) Our yields here are a little down, particularly irrigated cotton. Many growers are seeing dryland cotton yield better this year. There is multiple reasons that could be, and likely due to many issues working together. It does look like our grades and color are good. Many bales grading better than premium.
