In September 2016, the organizers of the Athens-Clark County Water Festival incorporated the game Pokemon Go into their annual water education festival.  The Saturday was full of different water related activities from kids being able to act like a raindrop flowing through a stormwater channel, water cannons, water games, and Dr. Hawkins, UGA Water Resource Specialist, displayed the Enviroscape and Groundwater model to discuss   pollution prevention and well water safety with kids and their parents.  You may ask why I am bringing this up now, well in the MArch Issue of the Treatment Plant Operator magazine, they have an article that explains the Water Festival a little more.  The article can be seen on page 18 of the TPO and is titled Riding a Fad.
