Choosing the right cotton variety for your farm is one of the most important decisions you will make in a growing season. Our Cotton team and County Agents across south Georgia do a great job with on farm variety trials. These trials give us the ability to look at multiple varieties in several different environments. We can then look at the yields in both high yield and low yield environments.
This allows us to see what varieties do better under stress and which respond better to increased inputs. We can also get an idea of the consistent performers across all environments.
