The Tattnall County Extension Office will be offering a variety of plants, shrubs and fruit trees for sale this month to raise funds for the Tattnall County 4-H program.

Starting a new fruit tree orchard would be easy with this year’s wide variety of apples, figs, pears, plums, peaches, blackberries, blueberries, muscadines, pomegranate and Japanese persimmon. Flowering plants such as crepe myrtles, knockout roses, abelias, camellias, gardenias, forsythias, hibiscus, hydrangeas, hollies, lorapetalum, tea olives, Confederate jasmine and azaleas are also available in one-gallon and three-gallon pots. This year’s sale will also include Leyland cypress, dogwood, Cleveland pear, magnolia, autumn blaze maple, and October glory maple trees.

All trees, plants and shrubs must be preordered through the Tattnall County Extension Office in Reidsville no later than February 10. All payments must be made at time of order by check or cash. Orders will be available for pickup at the National Guard Armory in Reidsville between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on February 28. Special arrangements may be made for pick-up in Glennville on March 1 if enough orders are received.

Order forms are available on the 4-H website at https://ugaextension.org/county-offices/tattnall.html . For more information, contact the Tattnall County Extension Office at uge3267g@uga.edu or 912-557-6724.
