Hay Season is Underway

On my drive home yesterday evening, I saw the first hay of the year being laid down at a dairy about six miles into Morgan County. It was a ryegrass field, being cut with a mower conditioner. Timing was probably close to perfect as far as maturity, but also the next few days appear to be great hay curing weather.
