Never Too Late Foster Home for Boys

Never Too Late Foster Home for Boys will be our fourth site. This site has been made possible through the leg work of Joseph Billings, a senior at Jasper County High School, who is using the project for Boy Scouts to attain his rank of Eagle. We will have two beds at this site. It is to be installed on Saturday April 15, 2017. If you are interested in helping with the installation, please contact the Jasper County Extension Office to sign up.

The Never Too Late Foster Home for Boys will open in May and be home to 16 boys from 8 to 18 years of age. While they are in the home they will be learning life skills, such as growing and preparing their own food. The raised beds will provide vegetables for their meals. There are also plans for them to have chicken for both eggs and meat, as well as potentially pigs, goats, and sheep.
