Gourd Society

The American Gourd Society (AGS) established the Jim Story Award (JSA) in 2009 to honor a long-time supporter of the AGS, who also pioneered many of the techniques for manipulating a gourd during its growth to produce unusual shapes for use in gourd art, floral designs and other decorative activities.

Including Georgia, there are currently twenty five US State chapters in the AGS plus the Canadian Gourd Society. You can learn more about the AGS on their website, americangourdsociety.org. Click on the JSA page to learn more about the Jim Story Award.
