Under the direction of Vice President Forrest Connelly, GACAA members served the traditional BBQ pork sandwiches, sausage and hot dogs to attendees at the 40th annual Sunbelt Expo in Moultrie.  County Ag Agents, State Specialists, and administration worked together to serve the best BBQ at the event.  The GACAA food booth is a major fundraiser for the Association and our activities.

New professionally made signs provided visibility to our customers.  A sign on the roof, sandwich boards in front and on the building, and flags were an attractive addition.  Many thanks to Treasurer Laura Griffeth for securing the new signage.

Also new this year was our ability to accept credit cards from our customers with the Square app program.  Many customers took advantage of this opportunity.  Using the Square allowed us to better track sales each day.  By tracking our sales, we can see how much of each item was sold, daily totals, and what days where the best sales days.

Working at the food booth gives County Ag Agents the opportunity to work together and get to know each other from all parts of the state.  Time spent in the food booth can be exhausting but at the end of day its a fun and rewarding time.  Join us next year in the food booth on October 16-18, 2018.  Many thanks to Treasurer Forrest Connelly for all of his efforts for another successful year at the GACAA food booth.
