Colquitt County Cotton and Soybean Insect Management Meeting

A cotton and soybean insect management update will be held at the Packer Park Farm (across the road from the new high school) in Moultrie, GA on Thursday, August 6th.  This meeting will start at 1 PM.  Dr. Phillip Roberts, UGA Cotton and Soybean Entomologist, will be in attendance to give grower an update on the current insect situation in cotton and soybeans.  Topics include insect identification, economic thresholds, scouting technique and insecticide selection.  Interested soybean growers can look at the soybean variety trial and a row spacing study that is being conducted at the farm.   If you are interested in attending please contact Judy at the Colquitt County Extension office.  The office can be reached at 299-616-7455.  Pesticide and CCA credit will be offered at this event.
