Rain of three inches or more is coming to parts of the Southeast over the next three days as a strong cold front approaches from the west and passes through the area. The heaviest rain will occur in Alabama and points west but most of the region should see at least an inch of rain by Tuesday. The only exception is the Florida peninsula, which will remain mostly dry. After the front passes, the rest of the week should be dry. Colder air could bring frost to a few of the most frost-prone places on Wednesday or Thursday morning, so if you are in a susceptible area, monitor forecasts carefully and take care of your sensitive outdoor plants.
