The latest monthly and seasonal outlooks for the US were released today by NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center. The images below show that September is leaning towards above normal temperatures in coastal areas of the Southeast, including the Florida peninsula and especially south Florida. Most of the region except for Florida is also leaning slightly towards above normal precipitation. For fall and winter, above normal temperatures continue to be more likely than near or below normal temperatures.  Precipitation in fall is continuing to lean towards wet conditions, while the outlook for December through February shows an edge to below normal precipitation in southern parts of the region.
