If you thought that farmers were the only ones making a living by betting on the weather, think again. There is a whole industry devoted to making market decisions on the basis of weather and climate forecasts that could affect the type of clothing sold or whether or not snowblower sales will be good in a particular year and market.  The Huffington Post had an interesting short article on this in the last week–read it here.
