Later today I will be headed north to Asheville NC to meet with the American Association of State Climatologists, my favorite professional organization, and one I’ve been associated with since 1990.  This group of dedicated individuals provide weather and climate information to groups in almost every state in the US, and you won’t meet a nicer group of people anywhere.  I am a past Wisconsin State Climatologist and a past Assistant SC of Georgia.  In honor of the AASC meeting, I’ll be sharing information on a few sources of climate information from groups that will be represented at the meeting.  If you are interested in finding the state climatologist in your state (most states have them, although what they do and how much help they can provide varies depending on where they are located and if they have a budget for their office), visit https://www.stateclimate.org, which provides links to the SC office in each active state.
