NOAA released their latest global climate summary yesterday, and it shows that for the globe, October tied for the third warmest on record with 2003, following the record warmth of October 2015 when El Niño was strengthening.  For the year to date, this year continues to be the warmest on record for the Earth as a whole and is very likely to be the warmest when the year is complete.
