The National Weather Service’s Southeast River Forecast Center released their latest water resources outlook video this week. In it, the NWS river forecasters discuss the current state of water resources across the Southeast and the impacts that El Nino may have on the coming winter.
With rainy conditions forecast for most of the Southeast this winter, low-lying areas may be subject to rising river levels with rains coming every 3-4 days. These areas are likely to experience soggy conditions that would not be suitable for heavy work like logging.
