Since it is near the end of the month, let’s take a look at how the month is likely to shake out.  The temperature departure map shown below from the High Plains Regional Climate Center shows that almost all of the Southeast is above normal in temperature.  For Georgia I estimate that the temperature should end up around 8o F for the month, which would be about 2.5 degrees above normal.  This would be the warmest since the summers of 2010 and 2011.  The Climate at a Glance graph shows that a temperature of 80 F would put it in the top 15 warmest Junes for Georgia.

The precipitation departure map shows that precipitation in most parts of the Southeast is within an inch or two of normal.
