Just a few of the changes:

-Workers must be trained before they work in an area where an RUP was used or a REI was in effect in last 30 days.

-Training for new handlers must be EPA-approved handler WPS training.

-Training for new farm laborers must be EPA-approved worker WPS training.

-Handlers can no longer train workers

I have not gone through and read every single label of chemicals we use, but I did look closely at Super Tin and Agri Tin, the popular fungicide we use in pecans. The label states:

“Respirator with an organic vapor removing cartridge with a prefilter approved for pesticides (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-23C), or a canister approved for pesticides (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-14G), or a NIOSH approved respirator with an organic vapor (OV) cartridge or a canister with any N, P, R, or HE filter.”

This means anyone employed by the farmer that is spraying Super Tin or Agri Tin fungicide will have to be fitted for a respirator and wear it even in an enclosed cab tractor.
